Felt balls are going to become cute earrings today in this easy tutorial! All we need are earring posts, studs, and felt balls, and we'll be able to make both dangly felt ball earrings and studs too!
How to Make Felt Ball Earrings
Step 1. Gather Supplies
Supplies Needed:
- Felt Balls
- Metal Eye Loop Screws
- Earrings Backs - we have earring hooks for dangly versions, and earring posts for studs.
- Super Glue
- Pliers
Step 2. Screw a small metal eye loop into the top of a felt ball.
You'll have to push the screw in as you twist so it can push its way into the dense ball.
Repeat for the second felt ball in the pair.
Step 3. Dab a small amount of super glue where the eye screw meets the felt ball to help hold it in place.
Step 4. Use pliers to open up the bottom loop of an earring hook and attach it to the metal eye loop you screwed into the felt ball.
Secure the bottom loop so the earring hook is attached.
Step 5. Repeat for all of the dangly felt ball earrings you are making!
There you have it - your dangly felt ball earrings in whatever color you like!
How to Make Felt Ball Stud Earrings
In this version of felt ball earrings, you don't use metal eye screws or earring hooks.
Instead, you use earring posts that include a flat part to glue the felt ball to, and then an earring back that will help secure the earring onto your ear.
Step 1. Hot glue the flat part of the earring stud to the felt ball.
Step 2. Slide on the earring back and that one's done!
Step 3. Repeat for the other felt ball and earring stud hardware.
