    Common Questions

What kind of felt is best to use to make flowers?

You can use any type of felt to make these petal flowers - cheap craft felt or higher-end wool felt. As long as you can manipulate, fold, or roll the felt, you can make it into flowers. Pick the colors you like best.

What can I do with these felt flowers?

You can do all kinds of things with felt flowers, including using them as gift wrap embellishments, attaching them to hair clips or headbands, or stringing them together to make a garland.

I don't have felt; what other materials can I use to make flowers?

If you don't have felt, you can make flowers with fabric like muslin, or even book page petal flowers. You can also make flowers using burlap ribbon, or even rosettes with fabric like shop towels.

These petal flowers make a great addition to felt mums and felt roses. They can be made with any color felt and in any size too.

You can make small petal flowers to put on barrettes, hair clips, or jewelry like earrings or rings.

Larger petal flowers can be attached to headbands or made into embellishments for bags, pillow covers, or even gift wrap!
