Everyone loves a good handmade Christmas ornament - both to make and to receive as a gift!

Clear plastic ball ornaments serve as a base for many different kinds of ornaments. You can make DIY ocean ornaments, or snowglobe Christmas ornaments, or you can wrap the clear ball in fabric to make an ornament.

Today, we are going to make a DIY ornament using a clear plastic ball ornament, and adding faux flowers inside.

This same type of ornament can be made with any type of flower, grass, weed, or plant - fake or dried!

Let's do it!

How to Make a Faux Flower Clear Ball Ornament

Step 1. Gather Supplies

Supplies Needed:

• Clear Ball Ornament - (mine is plastic.)
• Fake Flowers
• Wire Cutter
• Twine
• Scissors

Step 2. Use a wire cutter to clip fake flowers from their stems.

Step 3. Remove the metal top from the clear ball ornament, and carefully push the fake flowers inside.

Keep adding flowers until you like how it looks.

It should be filled but not overflowing.

Step 4. Hot glue the metal top back on the clear ball ornament and let dry.

Step 5. Cut a piece of twine as a hanging string, and tie it onto the ornament in a loop.

Trim the ends.

Your faux flower ornament is finished!

This ornament was made with fake flowers.

You could also use dried flowers and make an ornament the exact same way.

You can use fake flowers in whatever color scheme you like, or use real dried flowers or plants. Whatever you use, you can make beautiful ornaments like this in minutes!

Maybe you even want to dry your own flowers, grasses, or weeds first, and then make ornaments with them. Have fun with it!
