DIY Breast Cancer Hand Towel Tote Bag
Step 1: Gather Supplies
Supplies Needed:
- Breast Cancer Hand Towel
- Webbing for Straps
- Scissors
- Sewing Machine
- Pins or Sewing Clips
Step 2: Fold the towel in half, with the right sides together on the inside.
Step 3: Clip the sides together.
Step 4: Sew along each of the two sides.
Step 5: Turn the towel right-side out.
Step 6: Cut webbing for the straps - you will need two pieces.
They can be as short or as long as you'd like; these are around 15"-20" each.
Step 7: Clip the strap ends to the bag.
Repeat for the second strap on the other side.
NOTE: As described in this homemade hand towel tutorial, you have two options when securing the straps to the bag. You can either sew them to the outside of the bag so they're visible or sew them to the inside of the bag.
This bag will have straps sewn to the outside.
Step 8: Sew the end of each strap to the bag.
You can sew a simple outline as we did, or you can add an X for added strength and visual impact in the center of each outline.
That's it!
