ONCE YOU LEARN HOW TO MAKE DIY POM POMS, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN POM POM HAIR CLIPS, RINGS AND MORE! HERE ARE EASY DIY POM POM ACCESSORIES YOU CAN MAKE WITH YOUR HANDMADE POMPOMS!

All it takes is yarn, scissors and your hand (or a fork) to make pom poms that are perfect for all the craft projects you can dream up.

You can make small, medium, and large pom poms using just your hand, and if you want extra small ones, you can use the pom pom fork method.

Today, we are going to use extra small pom poms made with a fork and turn them into accessories: pom pom hair clips and barrettes, pom pom hair ties and pom pom rings!

    Here’s how we do it!

    Step 1. Gather Supplies.

    Supplies Needed:

    • Pom Poms (extra small pom poms made with a fork work best for accessories and jewelry.)
    • Scissors
    • Hot Glue Gun and Glue
    • Hair Clips, Barrettes, Hair Ties, Ring Blanks

(Pom poms in the making, using the fork method.)

Step 2. TO MAKE POM POM RINGS: Hot glue pom poms onto ring blanks.

To make a pom pom ring, you need pom poms (without tie strings) and ring blanks.

Step 3. TO MAKE POM POM BARRETTES: Hot glue (and tie, if desired) pom poms onto barrette.

To make a pom pom barrette, you need some pom poms and a blank barrette.

As an optional step, you can tie the ties strings around the barrette for additional stability.

You don't have to use the tie strings though; you could easily cut them off and just hot glue the pom poms to the barrette like we did with the rings.

Pull on the pom poms to make sure they're secure, and add more glue if needed.

Step 6. Inspect and enjoy the DIY pom pom accessories!

Check all of your pom pom accessories, and see if any of them need a trim.

Make sure all of the pom poms are securely attached to the ring blanks and hair clips; you don't want them falling off because of a lack of glue!

That's all there is to it!

Once you've made a batch of pom poms by hand or with the pom pom fork method, you can make accessories like these rings and hair clips in no time at all.

All you need are pom poms, blank accessories, and some hot glue!
