How to make a DIY giant pinecone Christmas tree using a giant pinecone and pom poms.

Learn how to create a stunning DIY Giant Pinecone Christmas Tree with pompoms to elevate your holiday decor!

We've made lots of different pinecone crafts over the years, but this is the first time we've used giant pinecones before!

I found these at the Dollar Tree. I have no idea where they sourced them from, or what type of pine tree has pine cones this huge, but they are amazing!

We are going to use the same method we used to make a smaller pompom pinecone tree, but this time we'll add a base.

    Let's do it!

Unleash your holiday creativity! Learn how to craft a stunning DIY Giant Pinecone Christmas Tree adorned with pompoms. Get ready to spread festive cheer!

    Step 1. Gather Supplies.

    Supplies Needed:

    • Giant Pinecone
    • Pom Poms
    • Hot Glue Gun and Glue
    • Wood Slice with a hole drilled in the center
    • Wooden Branch (approx 1" long) that fits in the hole of the wood slice

Step 2. Hot glue the wooden branch into the wood slice's hole.

Hot glue the branch into the wood disc base.

Make sure it's flush on the bottom before the glue dries.

Hot glue the branch into the wood disc base.

This will be the base of the pinecone Christmas tree.

Step 3. Hot glue the bottom of the giant pinecone to the wooden branch of the base.

Hot glue the giant pinecone to the base.

You will need to hold this in place until the glue is completely cooled and hardened.

If you let go before the glue has completely cooled, the whole pinecone begins to tip.

Be patient, and wait for it the cool completely.

Step 4. Hot glue pompoms onto the ends of the pinecone as "ornaments."

Use a variety of colors, and try not to have two of the same color right next to each other.

Stagger them so there are some sections of pinecone with no pompoms. This will prevent it from looking too cluttered.

Step 5. Turn the pinecone around and keep adding pom poms to all sides.

Turn the pine cone and add pom poms to the other sides.

Once all sides of the pinecone have pom poms hot glued onto them, you are finished!
