How to Make Felt Acorns
Learn how to make felt acorns in this easy craft tutorial, using acorn caps, felt balls, and hot glue. They're so fast and easy to make, you'll be hooked!
Materials
- Felt Balls (20mm)
- Acorn Caps
- Hot Glue Gun & Glue
Instructions
- Step 1. Turn an acorn cap upside down and liberally squeeze hot glue into the cap.Use enough glue to cover the whole inside of the cap. You want to make sure your felt ball is going to stick.
- Step 2. Take a felt ball and fit it into the glue inside the acorn cap.Press and hold the ball in place while the glue sets.
- Step 3. Set the felt acorn aside until the glue is fully cooled and set.
- Step 4. Repeat for all additional acorns.
Notes
- 20mm felt balls are my favorite size to use because they're just right - not too big and not too small.
- Hot glue works best because it dries fast so you don't have to old the acorn cap on the ball for too long. Other types of glue would work, you'd just have to hold for longer until it dried enough to keep the cap from falling off when you let go.
