How to Make a Succulent Wreath
Learn how to make a succulent wreath using faux succulent plants and a styrofoam wreath form in this easy craft tutorial! Perfect for your front door in the spring and summer, but beautiful enough to stay up all year long, this succulent wreath is a showstopper!
- Styrofoam Wreath Form
- Faux Succulents
- Wire Cutter
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue
- Twine
Push the stems of faux succulent plants into the styrofoam of the wreath form.Vary the size, type, and color of succulents, as well as the direction that they are added to the wreath. Depending on how long the succulent stems are, they may stick out the back of the wreath form.
If the stems do protrude from the back of the styrofoam wreath form, use a wire cutter to cut off the extra stem.
Continue adding succulents all the way around the wreath.
If you want to add extra stability, hot glue the backs of the succulents to the wreath form.
Fill out the wreath by adding faux succulents to the inner and outer edges of the wreath. This will make it look thicker and more full.
- Look for faux succulents at craft stores, big box stores, dollar stores, and on Amazon where you can buy them in bulk.
- You can use any type of wreath form (and hot glue the succulents onto the wreath form), but my favorite type is a styrofoam wreath so you can push the succulent stems into the wreath as well as hot glue them for added security.
- Use a wreath hanger to hang your faux succulent wreath on your front door, or hang it up on a nail or with a loop of twine as a hanging string.
