I had the opportunity to photograph the Keeley and Kohnen families on an early morning over the weekend of the 4th. The occasion that brought these two families together was the baptism of the two cutest twin girls. I thought it was really special that because of a husband and wife and their two twin daughters, a group of 30 people gathered, two different families, to celebrate. I find the melding of families like that very sweet. Like at weddings when the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom really seem to be friends, or the grandparents on each side enjoy each others company and chat.
The weather was perfect, the sun was rising over a calm-as-glass lake. The baptism took place afterwards on an island in the middle of the pristine lake. What better way to celebrate the 4th of July weekend than with family, in nature, and celebrating new life and faith.
