I met the Roberts family on the shores of Pelican Lake on a warm, golden evening in August.
Anne told me that Pelican lake is extremely special to her; she was baptized in the water there as a baby. Her grandmother has a home on the lake and Anne has spent many days there, and has continued to bring her family there as well. So, Pelican Lake was the obvious setting for a personalized family session.
To add to the sentimentality and family memories, a family heirloom – a vintage Jeepster – joined us for the session too. It was incredible.
To the Roberts family – Thank you for choosing me to be your family’s photographer. It was a blessing to meet you and spend an evening with you. Love them all, but that one with the dad putting the black lines on literally brought tears to my eyes! What a special look of admiration to catch in that young man’s eyes!
