It’s no secret that the sun is unbelievably powerful.
[insert big, fat DUH! here.]
The sun is the life source for every living plant and organism on earth, and our livelihood depends on it.
My mood depends on it.
Many people have heard of SAD [Seasonal Affective Disorder.] Many Minnesotans would wager that they have it. I have not been diagnosed, and I don’t mean to make light of depression in any way, shape or form. But I really, honestly feel like I suffer from SAD during the winters. Even if the sun is shining, not being able to go out and soak it up is torture. I feel blahh all winter long.
Now that it is spring and life is sprouting up all over the place, the sun is out in full force. It might not be out every day, but when it’s out, it’s OUT. I can go outside! I can feel the heat on my skin! I can feel the heat warm up the inside of my car when I get inside! [I’ll soon grow to hate entering a hot car, but for now, I welcome it!]
The sun breathes new life into my mood, my attitude, and my heart.
Hello, Sun. I’ve been waiting for you.
