Last night, I had the pleasure of photographing an event put on by my event planner friend, Karleen Schmidt. The event was a Night On The Town for the Senior Citizens on the Lakes area – complete with a fancy dinner, awesome music, professional dance demonstrations and a busy dance floor all night long.
I will be writing up a more complete post soon, but I just have to say what an emotional experience it was for me to look through my new telephoto lens and watch these couples [most of whom I imagine have been together for decades] hold hands and dance. I had to take a few breaks to let the tears in my eyes dry up.
This is what the night was all about.
