May is the month that spring arrives in Minnesota. Things start to turn green and the first buds pop out on the trees. It’s one of my favorite times of the year!
The disappearance of the snow let me wear my TOMS for the first time in May! I read our April Book Club book.
Remy and I went fishing with my dad. It was freezing outside and Remy was bored. We saw a black bear though – the first one I’ve seen in the wild in decades!
The summer construction season began in Brainerd.
I took a quick weekend trip to Florida with my parents to meet my new niece!
I met my first niece, Leighton Charlie in Florida. I also got to add a little pigment to my Minnesota-winter pale skin.
I got this cute photo from Matt and Remy while I was in FL. I love my family!
Remy and I were reunited and resumed our hangout sessions during the day.
I tried to stay on top of household chores and do the dishes while cooking. Helps keep me sane.
Remy and I went fishing again. It was cold, again.
Started on a business book. We got rain and things started to grow and turn green!
Matt’s sister Lynda came to visit from CA for two weeks! After a 5 minute freakout/bark fest, Remy decided she LOVED Lynda and never left her alone the rest of the time she was here.
Lynda and I prepped for the start of my wedding photography season.
The weather turned warm and the sun came out. We had our second bonfire of the season in our new fire pit!
The leaves started to show even more on the trees!
First wedding of the season!
Lynda is a great cook and was always making fun things for Matt and I.
She made me french toast that was delicious!
Mom and I planted flowers in my window boxes. Then, we cut dandelions out of my front lawn in the heat and almost got heat stroke.
Remy soaked up having three people to play with her, and thought this ball of yarn was the best toy ever. Until she got it wrapped around her and was all tangled up. That was the end of the yarn toy.
It was a fantastic month, and now – SUMMER IS HERE!!!
Bring it on!
