Katy and Ryan met while they were in college.

Katy was a runner for St. Ben’s and Ryan, a runner for St. John’s.

It was no surprise that years later, the majority of their wedding party and wedding guests were either family, or fellow runner friends from their high school or college days.

On the last Saturday of August, Katy and Ryan gathered together with their family and friends in Brainerd, MN for their wedding day. Both families are devout Catholics so the wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd, with a wedding reception following at Madden’s Resort.

The weather sprinkled on and off all day, but cleared up when it counted. Plus, as countless people reminded Katy and Ryan on their wedding day – rain is good luck. Not like they’ll need much of that – their devotion and genuine enjoyment of each other is clearly evident to anyone who watches them for three minutes.

Katy + Ryan: Thank you guys so much for giving me the honor of being your wedding photographer. Getting to know you in the months leading up to your wedding day and then walking alongside you on one of the greatest days of your lives is something I’ll never forget. I wish you a lifetime of love and laughter and know that the future holds great things for you too!
