Kalie, Andrew and I had to postpone their engagement session two different times.
The first day, it was cool and gloomy. We could have gone ahead with the session, but since we wanted golden sunshine and weren’t in a major rush, we decided to reschedule.
The reschedule date came, and like before, it was full of clouds, rain and cold. So we begrudgingly rescheduled again.
Our third try came and as the old saying goes, the third time is truly a charm.
We wanted golden sunshine, and we got it. We hoped for a beautiful sunset, and boy did we get one. It was the most incredible October night; perfect for an engagement session.
When we were first planning for Kalie and Andrew’s session, we contemplated different locations. Then, tragedy hit Kalie’s family, and her beloved uncle passed away unexpectedly. So in honor of him, they decided to have their session at her uncle’s farm.
Not only did the farm add an emotional and sentimental aspect to the session, but that property – it was a dream to shoot at. I think Kalie’s uncle was watching over us during the session. That glowing sunshine makes me feel pretty sure of it.
Kalie and Andrew – WOW. I can’t say enough good things about this session. I know you already know how I feel about it – I think my exclamations throughout the shoot convinced you. š It was so fun playing around in the sunshine with you guys. Thank you for being up for anything I suggested, and for having fun while you were doing it. Your wedding is going to be all sorts of amazing, and I can’t wait to be there with you every step of the way! Enjoy!

Oh my word. That first sunset image of him picking her up…. Incredible! So awesome Laura!
Beautiful, Laura! That first black and white image has me head over heels- I love it! On a side note, I need her boots. š
Thank you so much, Kelley!! This session – it was the thing our dreams are made of as photographers. Seriously… xo!
Thank you so much, Jess! I KNOW! I wonder where she got them… That’s on my Bucket List. To buy a killer pair of cowgirl boots. Sometime in my life…
