The recap of my January-May books can be found here.
In the last 4 months, I have read 9 more books, bringing my year to date total to 26.
None! I didn’t read any books this month.
I photographed 3 back to back weddings and tried to soak up lots of fun summertime memories and family time.
This is the next book in the Godmother series by Fern Michaels. As always, it’s like sitting down with good friends again, after not seeing them for awhile.
This book was another installment in the Sisterhood series that I read voraciously and mourned when it was supposedly over.
It was great to revisit some of the characters again, and while the main bulk of the Sisterhood cast aren’t in the books anymore, it was a great read that I loved.
I love anything from Janet Evanovich, so while I’m waiting anxiously for the next Stephanie Plum book to come out, I loved this book.
I’m hoping that Janet and Lee will decide to make this a series too, because clearly, I LOVE me some series’.
This book was part of a list of summer recommendations in my mom’s Oprah magazine. I decided to check it out from the library and read it. It was very different from my usual lighthearted choices, but very good. I really thought it was interesting how Meg dove into the dichotomy and jealousy that develops from one best friend having a wildly successful life while the other can hardly make ends meet.
I would have chosen a different ending. But it was still a good read.
The next installment in my beloved Savannah Reid Mystery Series! Yes!! I love Savannah and loved this book like all the rest. The only bad part of finishing it is having to wait until G. A. McKevett can write another!
Theresa is a Brainerd author that I met at the Crow Wing County Fair this year. I love reading MN authors, and when they’re Brainerd natives to boot?! Score! This was a great book, and kept me guessing.
This is the second book written by Theresa. Just like the first, it was fun, and the characters made you feel like friends. I hope she continues to write more because I want to see what trouble Meggie gets into next!
This was a business book that I bought early this spring. I decided to take a break from fun reads and dive into a business book for a minute. I loved this book.
Even though it was written in 1997, it was wildly relevant today – a testament to a great business book. I scribbled notes all inside and all over the pages, and I plan to revisit it often. It’s the perfect book for anyone selling a service, or anyone in business in general.
This book was our book club book for the month. I read it on my iPad with my Kindle app; my third book ever read on the e-reader.
I LOVED this book. It kept me guessing the whole time, and with the e-reader, I can’t skip to the end very easily like I sometimes am tempted to do. This book was a little spooky and suspenseful but not too scary for a wimp like me. The perfect read as we approach Halloween!
What have you been reading? Anything new? Anything awesome?
I still have 9 books to go before I reach my 2013 goal, so I still have a lot of reading to do!
