[This wedding blog post is long with lots of breath-taking beauty in it. Grab a cup of coffee and make yourself comfortable…]
Anna and Tory met in college.
Tory was intrigued by the fact that Anna looked stunning in a simple thermal shirt, and figured she must be a laid back fan of the outdoors – exactly what he was looking for. They started talking and the rest is history.
When they began planning their wedding, Anna said she wanted to get married in the trees.
Over the course of the next year, their wedding plans evolved, but the nature theme remained constant. Both Tory and Anna adore the outdoors, and that sentiment was carried through to their early October wedding day.
Anna, carrying the most beautiful bouquet of fall-inspired flowers and wearing a jaw-dropping floral crown, walked through a custom built doorway, draped with fall foliage as she entered the ceremony. On her father’s arm, she walked down the aisle toward Tory, crunching on fallen leaves, toward an arbor made by family, again draped in beautiful foliage.
The guests sat in pews and benches that were brought in to create a unique and gorgeous ceremony space, just for Anna and Tory.
While they didn’t get married in the trees as they had first wanted, I dare say things were even more perfect than they could have imagined.
Anna + Tory – Thank you from the bottom of my heart for including me in your wedding day. It was an honor to watch you become husband and wife, and to be able to see the hard work and incredible beauty that you created for your wedding. I’ll never forget it!
xoxo!

Anna carried a family heirloom necklace on her bouquet, as well as a tribute to her cousin who passed away several years ago.
Seriously, these flowers??? Incredible. The bouquet was created by Anna’s cousin, and the crown by Kate at Bloom Designs.
This next photo takes my breath away. The look on her dad’s face; happiness and pride mixed with sadness… I’ve got a lump in my throat yet again.
Anna’s dream of being married in the trees being brought to life by the stunning arbor, and unique outdoor ceremony location.
Let’s be honest, aren’t you tempted to make a floral crown and wear it every day, for the rest of your life? Yeah, me too.
